The workshops focus on script writing for stage, screen and radio, and diverse forms of fiction and non-fiction prose, based on the tutors’ extensive professional experience across these genres.
The workshops are aimed at people who want to inject a variety of writing techniques into their work, using unique and inspirational locations as sources of creativity. Our combined yet diverse skills mean that students will be encouraged to explore and practice techniques from writing genres they might not have previously considered.
Our workshops will show you how to create dramatic plots and explore authentic characters; and how to deliver this in the right style and genre, on page, stage or screen. There will be time for writers to meet and mingle informally, and optional opportunities to have any work in progress peer critiqued using the particular range of skills we will have explored each day. By the end of the workshop, each writer will have identified specific actions to undertake to develop their own writing project.
